Haw Pha Bang Temple

Haw Pha Bang Temple is a recently-built temple located in the area of Royal Palace, next to the famous Night Market in Luang Prabang of Laos. It lacks historical sense but is built in traditional style, decorated by much exquisite workmanship.

Completed in 2006, Haw Pha Bang Temple attracts lots of travelers with its stunning architecture and artwork, and the most significant historical object – Pha Bang. 

The Pha Bang in Haw Pha Bang Temple is a standing bronze Buddha statue covered in gold leaf. It came to Laos in the 14th century where it was kept in the capital city, Luang Prabang, which takes its name from the statue.
