4 Days Old Muang Ngoi Trekking Tour

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, you are picked up and escorted to to Nong Khiew, a rustic little town on the bank of Nam Ou River. 

Then take a boat to Muang Ngoi, one of the popular tourist destinations in Laos, surrounded by karst  limestone mountains and extensive rice paddies. You will stay overnight in a local guesthouse.

Highly recommended that you get enough rest and check all the necessity to prepare for the exciting three-day trekking experience. 

After breakfast, take a boat upstream on Nam Ou River to Ban Hadsapheui, a remote village inhabited by Khamu people, one of the hill tribe minority groups in Laos. You can have a snapshot of the daily life of local people.

Then immerse yourself into the wonderful trekking tour. Walk uphill to Ban Kioukhan, another Khamu village, for about 4 hours. 

Upon arrive at Ban Kioukhan in the afternoon, enjoy your free time to experience the primitive life. Star overnight in traditional village homestay. 

This morning is highlighted by a six-hour trekking tour. 

En route, you can get acquaintance with the hill-tribe minorities of Laos: Hmong people in Ban Nam Tap Village and Khmu people in Ban Sengsavang Village. Both of them show you the distinctive customs and cultures. It also feasts your eyes on spectacular mountain views.

Afternoon, Trek to Ban Houy Sene Village, where you will stay in the home of a villager.

After breakfast, explore local people's working and living condition. 

Then walk 2 hours through the rice field and beautiful landscape to Muang Ngoi. On the way, stop to visit Tham Kang Cave, where you can take a break for relaxing (swimming is possible). 

At approximately noon, arrive at Muang Ngoi. After a short rest, take a local boat to Nong Kiew and drive back to Luang Prabang for departure. It's the end of trek.
