Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Paro - Thimphu

On arrival greet with ceremonial reception. Transfer to Thimhpu,capital of Bhutan. Enroute stop at the three stupa convergence point. See the stupas of the three religions line alongside each other exactly on the focal point where Paro River and Thimphu River converge into one that flows out to the Indian River. Check into hotel.  

Visit 13 art and craft school and drive to visit TashiChhoDzong, the capital Dzong and the office of  King and the religious head ”JeyKhenpo”.  Evening scenic drive to Takin reserve. (National Animal “Takin”) Free time at leisure or you can take a stroll in the local craft market, where you will find local authentic craft from all over Bhutan. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 2 Thimphu

This morning you will start the day by visiting the National Memorial Chorten (shrine) a monument dedicated to the 3rd king. Visit Traditional Painting School, a school for Bhutan’s 13 traditional Arts and crafts, stops in at National Library where ancient scrolls preserve. Visit Textile weaving, it’s worth a visit to get to know the living national art of weaving.  

After lunch short drive to upper Thimphu to see the national animal Takin. From here drive past the Thimphu Dzong and visit inside the Dzong. From dzong drive to craft Market to see the local craft from all over Bhutan.

Day 3 Thimphu - Phobjikha

This morning after breakfast drive towards Punakha through Dochula Pass,  which offers panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. As we descend along a series of curve road to the fertile valley of Punakha. Before proceeding further to Punakha town, we will take a short 45 Minutes walk to Chimi Lakhang, a temple on a small hill top. This temple is dedicated to the great yogi in 14th century known as Drukpa Kuenly or popularly known as “Divine Madman” visit. 

After the hike proceed to quite Phubjikha Valley known for its  winter population black necked crane . the pass itself will take you over the Black Mountain range the boundary between western and central Bhutan. Driving time 4 to 5 hours. Driving time doesn't include other diversion. Over night at Phubjikha.

Day 4 Phobjikha - Punakha

Gangtey Gyomba will be the first stay in the day, situated in a hill with a spectacular overview of the valley. The monastery is watched over by monks. Visit the Black Neck Crane Center, a place for protecting the precious endangered species.

A nature hike gets through lush vegetation. Your car will be waiting at the end of the nature hike. Today driving time is 3 hours without any other diversion.                                                           

Day 5 Punakha - Paro

After enjoying the local breakfast in Punakag, Punakha Dzong, known as the palace of great happiness or bliss, situated in between two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu (male and female rivers), will pull you into a wonderful experience of Bhutan’s religion. It is one of the most magnificent Dzong in this kingdom. 

After that, you will be escorted to Paro. On the way we will stop at Thimphu for lunch or if you have any last minute shopping. Stay overnight at Paro.                      

Day 6 Paro

After breakfast start the day with short drive to Paro’s upper valley. On a clear day you’ll have an unforgettable view of the “Goddess” Mt.Chomolhari at 23,640 feet. Afterward, it’s a short drive to Taksang trail head. 

Hike to Taksang Monastery, the most famous monastery in Bhutan. Taksang means “Tiger Nest”. Between blue pines and a blue sky, the monastery perches miraculously on a cliff nearly 2,700 feet above Paro’s valley floor. Break along the way for tea and snacks in small tea house.  

Enjoy an early Farewell dinner. 

Day 7 Paro
Say Good bye to Bhutan and board a flight for your next destination.
