Khaosan Road

Khaosan Road, also called Khao Sarn Road, is the heaven of backpackers, gathering a variety of people in different skin colors, nationalities and languages from all over the world. This short street in central Bangkok can provide you with everything you want – what to eat, where to live, how to play: reasonably cheap accommodation, various restaurants and shops, abundant bars and pubs with interesting shows and other items useful for backpackers, etc.

As a world-famous “Backpacker Ghetto”, Khaosan Road is not only a commercial region, but also a base of travel: coaches leave daily for all major tourist destinations in Thailand, from Chiang Mai in the North to Ko Pha Ngan in the South, and there are many relatively inexpensive travel agents who can arrange visas and transportion to the neighbouing countries of Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia, as well as Vietnam.
